St.
Luke's Regional Medical Center is a not-for-profit hospital
that has served the citizens of Boise for more than 100
years. Founded in 1902 as a six-bed frontier hospital,
St. Luke's Regional Medical Center - located on its original
site in the heart of beautiful downtown Boise - is now
a 332-bed tertiary care center recognized as the multi-state
region's leader in heart, cancer and women's and children's
care. St. Luke's Children's Hospital (on the main campus)
is Idaho's only children's hospital, with the state's
largest and most experienced Newborn Intensive Care Unit,
a children's specialty center with nearly 50 pediatric
subspecialists, and Idaho's only dedicated Pediatric Intensive
Care Unit. Along with performing more heart procedures
and surgeries annually than any other hospital in Idaho,
our Mountain States Tumor Institute (MSTI) is the state's
busiest cancer center, seeing more than 72,000 patients
each year. And just last year, more than 5,500 babies
were delivered here. State-of-the-art facilities are just
one of the hallmarks of St. Luke's. The experience, compassion
and dedication of our staff have earned us the national
Consumer Choice Award as well as the prestigious Magnet
Award for nursing excellence.
